Starter for 10 - Money Works
Parkhead Citizens Advice Bureau (in partnership with Bridgeton & Easterhouse CABx) are currently refreshing our Youth Advice content this term. Our approach has always been to provide young people with access to and awareness of free, confidential and impartial information and advice services which can be delivered in a youth work style. This driving force will not change but how we offer and deliver that to our young people will be very different. This year Parkhead CAB will be delivering our Starter for 10 - Money Works Programme. This new and exciting programme will empower, galvanize and revolutionise our work with young people as they transition their way through to adulthood. Our workshops will be high energy financial education programme with a Big Impact!
This opportunity will run from Mid-August and ending December 2023.
The courses will cover topics such as:-
Your Money – Your Life
Making It - Through the Month
My First (Home, Car, Holiday & Job)
My Future (Planning, Saving & Borrowing)
Your Voice – Your Campaign
Social Media – Leave an Impact
Employability – Gain & Maintain
Health & Wellbeing – Positive Choices
If you have a young person under twenty five looking to gain transferrable skills, accredited qualifications, improve their confidence, motivation and invaluable life skills for independent living then this course is for them.
The course will take place within the east end of the Glasgow commencing this month. The course will involve one full day per week for participants initially with the occasional evening.
All partners and participants involved will be invited to the end of year awards & celebration event to acknowledge the young people’s achievements.
